Week 5 in the MTC

Well, what a week. Let us begin, shall we?

So I have not yet received my VISA and I was pretty stressed about it because Elder Brondum got a letter from the Mexican Consulate for his VISA. So last Wednesday I fasted and prayed for either my VISA to come, or for the ability to be happy if I didn't get my VISA. I was studying the Book of Mormon and couldn't find peace. I was randomly flipping to random parts of the book hoping some huge thing would pop out and I would receive and answer. I kept flipping to 3rd Nephi for some reason. But I would think "I've already read all of 3rd Nephi and it's just about Jesus, that can't help me right now with my situation". Then I would pray again and randomly flip to another thing, and it was 3rd Nephi again. I began getting frustrated with the Lord, and getting annoyed that he wasn't helping. Finally, I flipped to 3rd Nephi Chapter 13, and I sighed and figured I would just read it anyway to calm myself down so I could continue flipping through the Book of Mormon. I kid you not, this is what is in the chapter. I realized my Heavenly Father was saying to me "Just hold on a little bit. You'll understand soon."

8 Be not ye therefore like unto them, for your Father knoweth what thing ye have need of before ye ask him.

10 Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat?or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow, for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient is the day unto the evil thereof.

I shouldn't be so preoccupied on my VISA when I have a work to focus on. Long story short, I received a temporary assignment because I did not receive my VISA yet. I am attaching a video of my "mission call" :). 

On another note, IT SNOWED ON THURSDAY. My district was laughing at me cause I'm the Arizona kid who giggles when it's snowing from the heavens. But anyway, I'll send some stuff from that too. Just know God is good, and he is mindful of all of us, even when we don't deserve it. :)

Also, I leave next Tuesday morning really early! Here's my flight info: 

Departure: SLC @ 8:25 am

Arrival: Boise @ 9:51 am

I'll probably be able to call from 5:30-7:15-ish (my guess). So I don't know what time that is for y'all. Are we one the same time because of Daylight Savings?
